About Me
I'm Gerald – photographer, social worker, and a human being with a curious mind and a quiet gaze.
My camera is how I listen to life. I photograph not so much to explain, but rather to ask questions.
What remains when the obvious fades? What does a shadow reveal? A gesture? A silent moment?
My photographic approach is documentary, but never cold. I'm drawn to what lies between things – the cracks, transitions, and fleeting fragments of the everyday.
Encounters on the street, moments of stillness, the overlooked: for me, that’s often where the poetry of the real begins.
I live in Telfs, a small town in the Austrian Alps – a region shaped by farming, factories, and the rhythms of tourism.
It may not seem extraordinary at first glance, but perhaps that’s exactly why I’m drawn to what lingers beneath the surface.
I’m not searching for perfection in my images, but for presence. Not for spectacle, but for the kind of truth that passes quietly by.
